1. Data Collection & Usage

We do NOT collect, store, transmit, or process ANY user data whatsoever.

This extension operates with a strict privacy-first philosophy:

• ❌ No personal information is collected
• ❌ No browsing history is accessed or stored
• ❌ No user activity is tracked or logged
• ❌ No analytics or telemetry of any kind
• ❌ No third-party services are contacted
• ❌ No advertising or marketing data is gathered

2. How the Extension Works

All functionality is performed 100% locally in your browser:

• ✅ Technology detection analyzes the current page's DOM only (no network requests)
• ✅ .gitignore file generation happens entirely in your browser
• ✅ Theme preferences are stored locally in your browser storage
• ✅ No data ever leaves your device

3. Permissions Explained

The extension requests minimal permissions, each with a specific purpose:

Note: Unlike many extensions, we do NOT request broad permissions like "Read and change all your data on all websites." We use minimal, targeted permissions.

4. Local Storage

The extension stores only one piece of data locally:

• Theme Preference: Your selected theme (e.g., "ocean-blue", "mint-teal") is saved in Chrome's local storage to persist across sessions.

This data:

• ✅ Remains on your device only
• ✅ Is never transmitted anywhere
• ✅ Can be cleared by uninstalling the extension

5. Third-Party Services

We do NOT use ANY third-party services:

• ❌ No analytics (Google Analytics, etc.)
• ❌ No error tracking (Sentry, etc.)
• ❌ No CDNs for scripts or styles
• ❌ No remote API calls
• ❌ No advertising networks

6. Network Activity

This extension makes ZERO network requests.

You can verify this yourself:

1. Open Chrome DevTools (F12)
2. Go to the Network tab
3. Use the extension (all features)
4. Observe: NO network requests are made

7. DOM Analysis (Auto-Detection)

When you click "Auto-detect from page," the extension:

• ✅ Analyzes the current page's DOM structure (e.g., script tags, meta tags)
• ✅ Looks for technology indicators (e.g., <script src="react.js">)
• ❌ Does NOT send any data to external servers
• ❌ Does NOT access file systems or make network requests

8. Updates to This Policy

If we ever change this privacy policy (e.g., to comply with new regulations), we will:

• Update this document
• Include the "Last Updated" date at the top
• Notify users via the Chrome Web Store update notes

Promise: We will NEVER introduce data collection, tracking, or analytics without your explicit consent.

9. Your Rights

Since we collect no data, there is no data to:

• Access (GDPR Article 15)
• Rectify (GDPR Article 16)
• Erase (GDPR Article 17)
• Port (GDPR Article 20)

You are in full control. Your local storage can be cleared by uninstalling the extension.
